I'm having some trouble finding good info on gobies. The lfs had about 4 different types of gobies all in freshwater tanks. Are there completely freshwater gobies? Does anyone know a good website on gobies?

I really don't know much about gobies, but I did some searching and this site is quite awesome.

From the one profile I've seen I think that you should be fine if you add some salt in the water.

I hope this helps.

Some gobies are freshwater fish, but most are brackis and/or saltwater fish.

Please check the names of the 4 at your lfs, and post their names, as we can help you better this way. Not knowing the names of the different types of gobies, we cannot help you.

It's about a 2hr drive and I was there last week so I can't really say which gobies they have. I also don't know which ones they will have if I ever get around to a tank. I'm looking for some general goby info for the future.

One of the more common gobies(at least around here) is the bumble bee goby. THe store bought size is around 1-2in. ANd i think the fish gets about 5ish. They arent to expensive around here at about 3bucks a piece. A google search on goby will probably find something that you could be looking for.
