I was just wondering what suggestions everyone had for a good top dwelling fish to keep in a 55 gallon with 2 angels and some loaches. I already have bloodfin tetras in another tank, so preferably not that fish, but any other suggestion would be super appreciated. Thanks!
Jen

some type of gourami would be good. Dwarf Gouramis are good top dwelling fish.

I personally like pearl gouramis and that would be my impulse reply, but hatchets would be fun too... it depends whether you're more interested in seeing some action or pure aesthetic beauty

Pearl Danio's - pretty, very active top dweller, and not expensive!

I vote for hatchet fish as well. They're a different shape than you're other fish, and definitely top dwellers. Gouramis are nice but with your setup the angels are really the centerpiece.

Thanks for all your help guys! I think that I am going to try and look for some hatchet fish, hopefully I can find some. Normally the most I can ever find in one place is two or three and I really would like to get at least 7 at one place, so we will see! Thanks again for the help!

Danios, Danios, Danios, or some rams. I saw these very beautiful red rams and I am going to go get them soon.

And no, the rams are not top dwellers.
