Hello

im a new at the hobby but i really LOVE it
i want to change the gravel to my 5 gal tank that is a home to a male betta and an apple snail....what is the proccess to do that guys?i dont no what exacly to do and i dont want anything to happen to my betta neither my snail

i would put the male betta and the apple snale in a container with some water and in a seperate contaner or the same contaner i would put the water in there as well and take all the gravel out and put in the new gravel and then place the water back in let it heat up then put the betta and the snail in.

about 1 inch or sojust so you can burry the roots so they can grow.

Usually for planted tanks you want 2-3" so the roots can fully develop. If you want you can get Flourite or Eco-Complete, cause these are gravels made for plants, they fertilise them...

thanks very much , ill go today to my lfs and if im lucky i may find flourite or eco-complete(here in Greece is very difficult to find what you need )
