niggit![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Fish Addict Posts: 631 Kudos: 282 Votes: 0 Registered: 29-Jan-2003 ![]() | i have a little misfit green spot puffer... the reason i say misfit is because countless people have told me that the community he is included in is bizarre. anyhoo, here's the story: i fell in love with my little guy (1.5" about 2 years ago when i got my 55G, which i set up for african cichlids. i added the puffer to this tank because the water parameters (ie: brackish, etc...) were similar for both types of fish. anyhow, some time later i got rid of the cichlids, but couldn't bear to give puffer away. so, i kept him to see if he would get along with other fish.a year later, puffer still lives in the 55, but his tank mates include: 2 angels, 1 gold gourami, 1 pearl gourami, 1 pleco, 5 red/blue columbian tetras, 4 harlequin rasbora, 4 serpae tetras, 4 threadfin rainbows, 2 neons and 1 siamese flying fox ( i think that's everyone). puffer hasn't seemed to bother anyone... that is, until recently. i originally added 14 neons, and 12 were gone overnite (possibly angel/gourami food, too, though). recently, a fish here and there (ie: 1 rasbora, 2 rainbows, etc...) have disappeared over the last couple of months, and one of the serpae tetras has a bite on his side. i know that its possible that the fish died for other reasons, and then the body was eaten, but there's no reason for them to be dying, really. id puffer likely to blame?! ![]() |
