Ok, my friend just bought a snake, and he is suppose to feed it guppys.

He needs to breed them to have a countinous food source. I have never had guppys or have any knowlege of breeding them (other than they breed like crazy when you dont do anything)

Is there anything special you need to do? I think he just has the fish in the tank, with no decorations or anything.

they should be fine like that, but if u want to save the fry u need to have a small area heavly planted, and have floating plants, when u see fry u need to net them out and place them in a bucket and feed them crushed flake or an other fry food

He feeds the snakes guppies?

It depends on how much the snake eats. I would just fill a trash can up, get a filter, add a heater, and throw tons of anachris and hornwort and let them breed.

Basically the anachris grows 6', and hornwort just grows like crazy, so there will be enough coverage for the babies to grow up.
