nano reefer![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Fish Addict Posts: 716 Kudos: 570 Votes: 3 Registered: 29-Feb-2004 ![]() | I'v been wanting these for ages and now im going for it im wanting either dwarf puffer my tank is cycld (in freshwater) and now im going for it . i'v got some q's 1) will i need brakish water for them and if i just add salt will the water still be cycld? 2) how many dwarf can i get? 3) what plants can go with them? 4) do i need bog wood in the tank? riftlake_kid![]() Fingerling Posts: 20 Kudos: 30 Votes: 0 Registered: 19-Dec-2003 ![]() | 1) they r full fresh water puffers 2) not sure the exact limit for such a big tank but i usually say 1 dwarf for 3 gallons so i would get 8-10. 3) most plants can go with them fine. try to get 1 male to 3-5 females. they can be sexed by a line along the belly of the male and wrinkles behind the males head. i hear juvies can be sexed by freckles on the females head, but not sure about that. |

In my opinion fake plants are a lot easier to deal with. The more plants you add the less chance there will be of any aggression in the tank. -Nemo |

Whether or not this will play a role in stocking DP's im not sure. I suppose it could lead to more aggression because theres less floor space to claim a territory. I would err on the side of caution and get 2. Maybe look into an F8 instead and make it brackish ![]() I'll do graffiti, If you sing to me in French. |
