1. buy eggs
2. fill tank with dechlorinated water
3. dumb a whole bunch of salt into water
4. add eggs
5. wait

the more salt you add i've found, the higher and faster the eggs hatch. I don't have any aeration or heating on my hatchery - i have alot of salt in there to the point of it being more salty than marine (they're called BRINE shrimp for a reason)

My hatch rate is normally abou 60-70% with a hatch time of about 36 hours in a non-heated, non aerated tank.

all a matter of opinion - I've not changed the water in my tank for a good three months, and have had multiple hatchings (ie brine shrimp breeding and eggs hatching).

i probably get higher - i've never really bothered to figure it out, as i just let the eggs hatch and let the brine shrimp do whatever - Its a pretty self sustaining tank - multi-generational thing ya know

they're finally slowly dying off -so i'll do a little experiment when i start it up again - but its winter, so my hatch rate isn't as high as it was during summer.
