Albinos of some species are sterile, or at the least haven't been able to breed successfully yet.

I've heard that albinism sometimes comes with blindness... so that may hinder breeding in some albino fish, but that doesn't mean they're sterile.

Hybrids are often sterile biologically (depending on genetics, some hybrids are not sterile)

No, no, no, you silly people you. haha. ^_^ Albino genes are a rare gene, but it does not come with a sterile gene unless it's albino and hybrid to the point of sterility. The gene for albino characiture is rare, so few animals may be produced with the actual gene -- but other animals without the gene are easily produced [[yet may have a recessive gene that can show up in further generations]]. I'd know because I have a female fantail and she breeds quite easily, but it's rare to see an albino fry.

Either can be sterile. Genetics are tricky; the official definition of a species is two organisms that can reproduce and produce fertile offspring; by this definition any fish that hybridize and create fertile offspring (ie parrot cichlids to name one) are the same species. Obviously this definition needs to be reworked...
Often melanistic fish (melano bettas for example) carry a lethal gene and don't live long enough to breed, some albinos are sterile too.

I'm so adjective, I verb nouns!
