I would not house the oscer in there four even a little while. But the fish that came to my mind is a ram. Either blue, german, green, ect. Any of them i would choose.

Cichlids come to mind too. German and blue rams are very delicate and finiky with their water quality. I've heard bolivian rams are more hardy. Another cichlid that coul work are keyholes. Also, look in to the many dwarf cichlids, some beautiful ones in the Apistogramma genus.

However, I don't recommend housing these fish with an oscar. First things first, get your oscar his own tank. Then think about getting other fish.

i cant find any rams anywhere the sound cute, but i guess i have to go with what i have avalible plus, i dont have to pay anything, and if it causes trouble then, well, i will sell it for tons more than i got it for because it will be bigger when that time comes, but i may fall in love with it and decide not to
