what fish, if any, do you have in the tank with them, and what size tank is it?

I'm just looking for ideas, I know different combinations have worked for some people and it depends on the individual fish, so please no flames

I think most small Loricariids would work. Correct me if I'm wrong, but their armor should help protect them... that and the fact that they usually hide during the day.

Oh, and a five gallon tank would be the smallest that I would keep them in. Two, maybe three puffers to a five gallon sounds good.

bb gobies are brackish. Dwarf's are strictly freshwater.

Wrong. Of the four commonly imported species of brachygobius, none are strictly brackish water. In fact, the aggregatus and doriae species are almost always found in FW, while the xantho and the other species (the name eludes me as of now) are found in both FW and BW.

Taken from H.H. Tan's paper exclusively on carinotet. species about C. imitator:

"Specimens typically caught along bank vegetation in large rivers. The specimen from Sambas were obtained amongst submerged bank vegetation. The water was murky brown, with pH about 6.0. Syntopic species include Rasbora tornieri, R. bankanensis, Doryichthys deokhatoides, Brachygobius doriae and Dermogenys sp."

Just wanted to add that I currently keep bumblebees with my dwarf puffers. The bees were kept in FW at the lfs I purchased them from. I've had no problems between the fish at all.

I'm moving them into a larger tank and just wanted to get some ideas

I keep my dwarf puffers in a 29 gallon with tiger barbs, ottos, paradise gourami, and banjo cats. Keep in mind your tank should be heavily planted.
