I know that you have to condition the bettas first by letting them see eachother for a few days but not be free swimming together. Sometimes it takes a few tries to get them to like eachother before they will actually spawn and is not necessarily an easy process what so ever. BTW, the bettas are known for their extreme aggresiveness especially the males. On this website is an article... a "how to" if you will about spawning bettas that I found pretty helpful... http://www.fishprofiles.com/articles/freshwater/spawnbettas.asp and.... http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/forums/Breeding%20Advice/23573.html?200408250921 Good luck to you and let us know how everything turns out for you!!! ![]() Last edited by Phone'sMate at 27-Sep-2004 07:47 |

I hope you kept them able to see each other first and conditioned too. If not, they may not be ready to spawn and therefore will fight. Also with trios, one female might eat some eggs, so if you are seeing your male like one above all, move it. I suggest you try the whole process again, doing all the preparations needed. |
