I plan on combining my three 10 gallon tanks into this 30 gallon. Here's what I currently have: 6 Zebra Danios, 6 White Cloud Minnows, 4 Peppered Cories, 3 ADFs and 3 Platies. I plan on adding 2 more Peppered Cories to this list. So the final stock for the 30 gallon would be: 6 ZDs, 6 WCs, 6 PCs, and 3 Platies. Filtration will be from two Penguin 125 power filters and one Whisper 10 power filter. How does this stock list sound to everyone? |

The white cloud minnows don't like above 22c do they? I don't know about the corys but I don't think platys would lik eit to low. No idea about ADF? The stocking levels are fine. |

In my experience, wcmm's have done fine at tropical temperatures in the range of 75-78 degrees. Zebra danios are happy in a mud puddle, and i've seen adf's go either way, so i don't think temperature is of a high concern. If you want to please everyone, set it at 73-75 ![]() |

I think you'll have a hurricane in your tank with that much filtration! Other than that, sounds like a nice little tank. ![]() ~Meow. Thus spoke the cat.~ |

Good luck Last edited by brtaylor2000 at 14-Jan-2005 17:40 |

Though i will advise you i have 2 pengiun 125s on my 33gallon and it pushes the plants down If you had all of that filtration i would definitly reccomend fake plants and rocks. No live plants and they will be all over the tank =-fish1 |

I've been wanting a larger tank for my Cories and Danios for awhile now. And I didn't want to just add another tank to my list. I just couldn't settle on the correct setup. I guess I finally found my solution. ![]() Yeah, I wasn't to sure about the amount of water flow. Those three filters are what I currently am running on my 10 gallon tanks. That's the only reason I thought about using them all. Since everyone suggested that it would be over-kill, I just won't add the Whisper filter. Then I can keep that filter on the 10 gallon for the ADFs. I was planning on a sponge filter for thier tank, but this works out even better. ![]() I currently have all of my tanks at 76F. All seem to be fine with that. So I figured I'd keep the new tank at the same temperature. Thanks again! |
