i have a 55 gallon tank with 7 3-4 inch african cichlids i have had the tank setup for almost two years and i think its time for a change but i am going to need some ideas i wanted to get crushed coral for the gravel and then i need some ideas for ornaments if you have any ideas please let me know as soon as possible i want to get started soon

just so you know crushed coral will raise your ph, if you have a ph of 7.0 already i wouldnt mess with it.

i am perfectly clear with the fact that crushed coral raises ph thats one of the biggest reasons im getting it its purposly used mostly for african cichlids

The tank will look heaps better with crushed coral as a substrate than just gravel.

I'll put heaps of lava rock or limestone in and make it full of caves. I'll add a few different coloured rocks to make it look more appealing.

Then if you don't already have a background i'll add a background to the tank or paint the back glass black. Painting the glass or adding a background will make it look so much better IMO.
