when i first started with fish keeping, i had a pregnant guppy for about 1 month. i later found out that they can hold them for a long time if they feel threatened or stressed! i wouldnd worry about it though. like already stated..just gotta be patient and wait!

Have plenty of patience! The mothers-to-be will give birth eventually..... One tip that I've read about in other threads is to elevate the water temp a bit.... I suppose the higher temp stimulates labor..... Higher temps also have been reported as aiding in the growth of the fry once they arrive......
My question would be, what other types of fish do you have in the tank? If you have more aggressive fish, do you have ample hiding spots for the pregnant platys and guppy? Perhaps the pregnant females are too stressed by their community companions to relax enough to give birth....

may seem like a fun idea now but wait until you have a hundred babies in there and have to get them out with a net! especailly if you have a lot of plants it will be really hard to catch them. Trust me I know. I had 2 pregnant platies in a 10 gallon. I still have some leftover babies. Good Luck.
