One of the most beautiful freshwater fish and peaceful. I keep Gouramies with Angel and no problems, actually they get on quite well. Remember that age and treachery will always triumph over youth and ability. |

Not timid like everyone says...rather comical as he interacts with the others in the tank. Either gourami would look splended. |

Also, you said you wanted pairs and RTBS can't really be kept in pairs. Unless you have a huge tank. |

I'd also go with the gourami over the angel because I'm not too large of a fan of angels and DO like gourami a lot... ![]() PM/email/msg me if you have any questions/comments regarding me or my knowledge or if you want me to read a thread. |

It's my dark tank, has an angel, black phantom tetras, and trilineatus cories. I'd like a single fish around 4-6", or perhaps something smaller that could be kept in a pair (and won't get overly territorial if breeding). Has to get along with current fish in the tank. I've been doing lots & lots of reading, these are the options I have so far. If anyone has any other suggestions please let me know. [option1]RTBS[/option1] [option2]moonlight or pearl gourami (depending on what lfs has)[/option2] [option3]other (please specify)[/option3] [span class="edited"][Edited by Theresa_M 2004-09-01 13:08][/span] ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean |

Janna![]() ![]() Mega Fish Posts: 1386 Registered: 24-Aug-2003 ![]() | I think a RTBS gets too big for a 30 gallon, so I wouldn't get that. Personally, I wouldn't get another centerpiece. The angel gets large, and they're gorgeous ( ), so why do you need another centerpiece? They wear masks of silk, porcelain, brass, and silver, So as not to mislead with their own, ordinary faces. |
