Many DP keepers have planted tanks. Go for it!

You'd probably want to list the tank size. :-X

General rule of thumb is 1 DP/2.5-3gal. Some folks have luck with ottos & shrimp, although puffers generally eat crustaceons. In a much larger tank (I have mine in a 50g), you can keep many kinds of fish w/them. How big is your tank?

Wat other fish are in there or are there just dwarf puffers?? I bet you could get away with around 15 in a 30gallon tank if they were just puffers

i have a dwarf puffer/otto/tiger barb tank in a 29 gallon As long as it is heavily planted real or fake, its an interesting tank.

I would not apply the inch/gal rule with puffers due to their territorial behavior. If you can establish defined territories, it will make things much easier. I learned the hard way when I had 3 in a 20gal long and 1 puffer would chase the other 2 away from the food. Untill I put a HUGE piece of driftwood in and feed from both sides, it was sad.

I have read the heavier the planting the easier it is to keep harmony in the tank. The less they see of each other the better IMO
