Some folks have luck with ottos & shrimp, although puffers generally eat crustaceons. In a much larger tank (I have mine in a 50g), you can keep many kinds of fish w/them. How big is your tank? |

If you can establish defined territories, it will make things much easier. I learned the hard way when I had 3 in a 20gal long and 1 puffer would chase the other 2 away from the food. Untill I put a HUGE piece of driftwood in and feed from both sides, it was sad. I have read the heavier the planting the easier it is to keep harmony in the tank.
