They are pretty tolerant to ph and hardness ranges but do need consistent values. The key is water quality. Rainbowfish really need clean, healthy, low nitrate water to flourish. Most Rainbowfish will interbreed with other Rainbow species although I'm not sure about the bigger Rainbows with the Dwarf species. The Praecox and Boesemani might not interbreed with each other, I'm not sure. |
