Hi all. I can't find a method to be able to remove this brown algae off my texas holey rock. It easily comes off the glass with a magnet cleaner but the rocks are too bumpy and irregular shaped to do that or use a scrub brush. Is there any chemicals or anything like that I put on the rocks (after taking them out of the tank of course) that could restore their pristine white color. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Well, I find that the best way to remove algae from anything is with an algae eater...

You could use a toothbrush to get into the smaller holes, but it will take a bit of work!

I don't think chemicals are a good idea. If you're going to go to the trouble of taking them out of the tank, it shouldn't be too hard to remove the algae manually.

You could tkae the rocks out once a week or month and pressure wash them. Or try leaveing them out in the sun for a day.
