hey everyone.... i have a water problems.... which is that i have had my tank just over a month now and i assumed my cycling had finished .... and then suddenly my water went cloudy but ui dont think its the sort of cloudy water produced by blossoming... the reason for this is that i seem to have a white growth on everything in the tank.... on the front, and on the plants and slate.... its visible... and when u touch it its slippery like a slime.... both of my bala sharks dropped dead without warning and then one of my clowns... i have no idea why.... if anyone has any ideas i would be gratefull.....

Can you give us the tank size, all the fish in the tank, and the results for ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate? Is the cloudy a white cloudy, or green cloudy? Thanks.

They shade the glow of it with their mossy-misty costumes,
They wear masks of silk, porcelain, brass, and silver,
So as not to mislead with their own, ordinary faces.

Have you tried any water changes? Also, did the fish that died show any symptoms?

Sounds like very poor filtration or no aeration.

what is the tanks dimensions and what filtration/areation systems you got running.

I agree with the others. If the tank had cycled it sounds like a mini cycle, if not then it was still in the process of cycling, clowns and bala's are really not good cyclers. Ammonia, nitrIte, and nitrAte results will help pinpoint where you were in the process.
Green cloudy: algae
white cloudy: mini cycle/ cycle.

The fact that you mentioned the slimeyness makes me think the tank wasn't properly cycled to begin with.
