out of the list of fish below how many can i put in a 24x12x12 inch tank or is it ok for all of them?
it will soon have external filter, but until then it's got a simple internal. i'll do 10-15% water changes once every week. it will also be well planted.

fish.
3 swordtails
2 honey gourami
2 guppies

So that's ~15g?

The honey gouramis would be fine, the guppies as well although if you're getting M/F it would be better to have two females.

My only concern is the swordtails because of their potential size.

thanks for quick reply.

thats what i was thinking. i have 1 male and 1 female guppy at the moment and male and female honey. the swordtails could stay in my 40g, i just wanted to thin out the fish i have in there, so could get a second blue ram.

40g
1 angel
11 rasbora
5 corys
1 clown pleco
1 blue ram
3 swordtails between 2-4in
2 guppies
2 honey gourami.

If you want to keep only small fish, the angel can go, though it is a good centrepiece fish. You can alternatively do away with the swordtails.

Personally I think you could have your rasboras and gourami pair in the smaller tank.

i don't want to get rid of any of them, i've had them for years. i just want to move some to a different tank.
i've been offered a 24x12x12 tank and just wondering what i can put into it.

i love to see the rasbora in the larger tank, so would like to keep them in there, really to active for 15g i think.

thanks for the replies. any ideas welcome.

i've had an idea

i've noticed that when i try to feed the corys the pleco and swords and the angel chase them and eat it first.
so could i put in

5 cory juilli
2 guppies
2 honey gourami

i'll have the sides and back fully planted in gravel and have sand at the front for the corys. that would leave the bottom of the 40g for the pleco and ram.

how does that sound????????
