the smallest aquarium fish i found is this one...dwarf pygmy goby..only 8mm long.

I know human beings and fish can co-exist peacefully.

What about the bumblebee goby? Those stay really small, around an inch.

And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."

possibly for the smallest fish you can buy for an aquarium is the ember tetra
...maybe

http://fnp_tetra.tripod.com/tetra/embertetra.jpg

and probably one of the big pims for the biggest
...maybe

I'll go find callileausiaisldkfla's article

edit: nah the stoutinfantfish is the smallest fish, I think it gets 5mm(but I dont think you can have it in tanks)
can you keep the pygmy in aquariums?

A great site to find just about anything is http://www.google.com.

Arapaima gigas is the largest freshwater fish in the world, reaching four meters.

The pygmy goby is the smallest, reaching 7.5-9.9 mm.

EDIT- But I doubt you'd be keeping these fish in your tanks.
