i'm just wondering if it would be safe to put a few snails in my killifish fry tank to eat any food that the fry miss. the fry are only 2 or 3 weeks old, so they are very small. the snails are the type that come in on aquatic plants, and are also very small (less than 1/4 inch)

is this advisable?

p.s. i am hoping to breed the snails so i have a "treat" supply for my Green spot puffer

yup that sounds fine to me. i think snails are excellent for fry tanks i use snails in my betta fry tanks and they do a great job of cleaning up and dont disturb the fry. they also bred like crazy in the fry tank which i also like because i jsut fed them to my oscars
