| south american dragon fish? | |
xxoutbreakxx![]() Small Fry Posts: 1 Kudos: 1 Votes: 0 Registered: 11-Jan-2005 ![]() | i recently bought a fish called a south american dragon fish. i put it in a tank with three large healthy red bellied pacus, and the dragon fish killed them all. i havent been able to find any information on them on the web, what kind of fish can i keep with it that it wont kill? does anyone know a website i can go to to find anything out about them? i would appreciate the help |

Dragonfish, especially at the size they are usually sold in pet stores (8-12 inches) can not eat anything much larger than bloodworms, they don't really have teeth and are just filter feeders. I've seen them try to eat shrimp pellets, and have to spit them back out. Probably shouldn't go with pacus anyways though, since they're brackish. I've heard of people keeping them with swords and mollies, and I'm sure there's other fish they'd be fine with. I'm so adjective, I verb nouns! |
