How would tigers and kribs go together? I am considering eventually starting another new tank (maybe in a 29). Question is can these 2 fish go together, if so how many tiger barbs would you recomend to go in with the kribs?

I suppose they could go together, despite the nippy nature of tiger barbs. Cichlids can withstand attacks from most other fish, and kribs are pretty tough for their size. Even if a school of tiger barbs were to bother the kribs, nothing would come of it.

As for how many tiger barbs, I'd recommend at least eight. The more barbs you have in a school, the more they tend to contain their nippiness among themselves. A pair of kribs should be fine with the tiger barbs.

I would like to maybe get a hexagon tank for some kribs, tigerbarbs, and whatever else might be nice...any suggestions? I think hex tanks are usually around 44 gallons correct me if im wrong. I would get another 29 but that would really limit what i can put in it and how many. Or even a corner tank would be nice.
