Do I need to do the bagging them up and acclimate them like I would new fish brought home from the LFS? Thanks Jen |

Even if the tanks are about the same temperature, I'd still bag everyone up and acclimate them, because the pH, etc. could be different, and you don't want to send anyone into shock. If the params are nearly the same, you don't *have* to do it for as long. But I suggest bagging everyone up, and doing the "dixie cup" acclimation as I call it. (float 15 minutes, add a dixie cup of new tank water, float for another 10/15, add another cup, repeat 2-3 more times)What types of fish are they? HTH -Formerly known as the Ferretfish ![]() |
