I slept through the tank overflowing and ruining my hardwood floor. I also routinely sleep through earthquakes.

I woke up to my pump cavitating last night.

Buggered if I know where the air came from

A good number of times I've woken up to things not running right, fish jumping out (and cories jumping into the filters looking for food), etc...

My wife really loves it when a wake up in the middle of the night and notice something wrong with 1 of our 3 tanks in our bedroom. It doesn't bother her so much when its one of the 10 gallons that sit on top of the night stands beside the bed. But she really "loves" it when its the 30 gallon that sit on the head board over the top of the bed.

i ususally sleep through most everything. altho the most common thing i wake up to is sometimes if my tank(s) have evaporated a little and i haven't refilled it. sometimes i wake in the middle of the night hearing the water running and thinking its one of the dogs peeing somewhere.

Ok, it happened last night, and I know it's not the first time for me...I woke up in the middle of the night, and after a couple of minutes it dawned on me what was wrong...One of my aerators (sp?) was "off balance" and not making "the right sound".

So the question is...am I the only one who can tell when something if off, even when asleep?

Voted for: Yes, I've woken up to something being off in the fishtank.

Actually... I sleep with the tv on... So when the lights go out and the filters stop... I notice because of the tv.

OK, I once slept through a T-72 tank almost (within six inches) running over my head. I didn't know a thing about it till about an hour after I woke up and met the ground guide who saved my life. but my wife always complains that its too loud when one of the air pumps is vibrating against a wall or something.

Have to vote abstain on this one, the tanks are downstairs, and I run white noise in my room (to block the sound of the dogs ). But walking in the house, even before checking the microwave clock, I can tell if one of the filters has stopped....of course it helps that the pond is set up to really waterfall .
