Otherwise, add at least four more danios. Besides that, I'd go for a pair of kribs. I don't think that they would cause any compatibility problems, and they can withstand any squabbles with the other fish in there. Other than that, you are all set. I don't know if paradise fish can be kept with gouramis, though. Don't they tend to dislike other labyrinth fish? |

If anything, it's the 2 blues that go after each other. I thought about kribs, but I thought they were aggresive? It's a definite thought, thanx By all means marry; if you get a good wife, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher. Socrates- I happen to have become a philosopher |

A breeding pair of kribs is a force to be reckoned with! Their personalities differ from fish to fish, but for the most part, kribs are peaceful. They are usually fine in community tanks. |

I'll probably wait on them. Has anyone ever ordered online? Is it recomended or frowned upon? Are Electric Yellows out of the question? Should I get another BN? Still haven't decided what to do about Danio's.If I find a nice tetra that I like then I'll probably go there, otherwise more Danios it is. Kribs are an African Cichlid, and they are incredibly vicious in my experience. My sister had a pair of kribs which managed to kill off: Her angelfish, 3 gold rams, 3 blue rams, 1 dwarf gourami, and 3 corydoras paleatus. The male eventually turned on the female and killed her too. Not a good fish to have in a community of south american/asian fish. You should keep kribs, and other african fish in african fish only setups. Electric yellows are also an african cichlid, another fish I would avoid if I were you. I can reccomend some Lemon Tetras to you that are nice and yellow and would fit in wonderfully! I also can recommend Bolivian Rams, Buenos Aires Tetras, Hatchetfish, Rainbowfish, and Guppies as wonderful community tank members! I have tons of pics of my fish, just ask if you would like a link. Maybe you might see something of interest in my community! Also, I think you would be fine to add another BN if you like. Also give me those links, maybe I'll see something that catches my eye. What do u think about online ordering? By all means marry; if you get a good wife, you'll be happy. The LFS only had males so I got the 1 & gonna hold off until I can find a female. Now if I could only decide what scholling fish I wanted I'd be all set. A few kinds that would work include: lemons, silvertips, and glowlights (though they aren't as tough as the other two). The tetras wouldn't get picked on by their tankmates, and wouldn't take up too much space. They are very nice looking, too. In my mind, they would be a great addition to your tank. |

I think it the perfect addition. Thanx for the suggestions. By all means marry; if you get a good wife, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher. I've got seven lemon tetras at home, and I couldn't love them more. They are interesting to watch, because the males will display their colors towards each other, and 'joust'. These little tetras are hardy and adaptable, too. I have never had one die or even get sick, since I got them months ago. Congratulations on your lovely little tetras!] ![]() |
