i saw this on ebay and it's pretty cool. i was wondering what i could fit in this small bowl. i want the fish to be nice and happy, which i understand might be pretty difficult to achieve.

the bowl is very roughly about .5 gallon.
then only choice if you really really want to put anything in it is a betta (that's what it says it's for)
advice - don't buy it.

I agree. I wouldn't put a betta in that even.

Agree with the above...I wouldn't put a betta in anything less than 1g.

I was told by a fish expert one time that a beta will live in an elephant's foot print as a natural habitat. They don't require any room at all. Although I agree with most of you, let them swim free.

I would put it in a sunny window, and use it to grow algae. Much more decorative than a big pickle jar!

Betta's can live in a small ammount of water, but their natural habitat is a rice paddy, if you've never seen them think of a giant cornfield flooded with water....not small @all. I really woldn't put a betta in there however, as it's very open and bettas are known jumpers. Maybe a few plants and a shrimp ....or spare change for the fish .

I have my betta in a 1/2 gallon and he does great, so I say if you want it, go for it and put a betta in there! I did have my bettas in 10 gallon tanks, but they stayed in the same hidden spot all the time, even though they were alone in the tank. Mine (and I'm sure there are others also) always like the smaller tanks. Happy bidding if you decide to go for it!
