I finally finished stocking my current tanks(see my profile). And of course, I am already thinking about what I can do next. What I am thinking about doing is getting a 30 gallon tank, and moving most of my current fish into the new tank. I wouldn't be doing this until the end of this year or maybe early next year.

My question is, what does everyone think about 10 White Cloud Minnnows, 6 Zebra Danios, and 6 Peppered Cories in a 30 gallon?

All the fish you mention will fit in a 30 gallon tank, but the question I have for you is, are you going to get any algae eaters?

Why does he need algae eaters? Whats wrong with good old manual labor to scub off the algae?

Anyway, yes the fish you have would fit just fine in a 30 gallon, with room to spare. Personnaly I would say raise both schools of fish up to 12 each. But thats just me.

I feel that would be just fine for your idea. I'm not too sure how big some of the fish get. But full grown you would have 9 inches of the Zebra Danios with 6 of them. They are not schooling fish, though they do like to swim around with other top and mid section dwelling fish. That would be a pretty display.
From my experience Zebra Danios are not avid fin nippers, so you wouldn't have to have a lot of coverage for them if you didn't want it. Though they would do great with just about any sort of decorations

You don't need and algae eater for them. You already have bottom dwellers for any food that reaches the bottom, even then the danios are pretty eager eaters so you'd have to make sure your cories would be getting enough food down there.

You can easily get away with a good HOB filter rated up for 50 Gallons on a tank like that, but you can also go with a canister filter. Zebra Danios don't mind a fair bit of current so you wouldn't have to worry about the results of a larger filter.
I know the Danios like a fair bit of swimming space, perhaps you could look into getting a 29/30G Long for them.

PS: I currently have about 12 types of Danios in my 30G High right now, great little buggars. 8 Glofish, 1 Gold Danio and 3 Long Finned Blue Danios.

I was thinking about having some Ottos in that tank. But, they wouldn't be going in the tank until atleast the second month after setup.

I don't think I will add that many danios or cories. Both of those fish should hit at least 2", so I think I'd be overstocked with 12 of each. At the most, I would do 12 White Clouds, 6 Peppered Cories, 6 Zebra Danios, and possibly 3 Ottos. Anybody think that would be to much?

What I am planning on doing is using my two Penguin 125 power filter for the 30 gallon. That should be enough filtration, right?
