SheKoi![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Fish Addict Posts: 667 Kudos: 553 Votes: 4 Registered: 11-Feb-2004 ![]() | i've been looking for a larger tank for the past couple of weeks, and have come very close to buying a full marine setup including fish, but because i've never kept them before i didn't want to jump straight in, only room i have for it at the moment is in same place as my 40g. i've now been offered a Clearseal fish tank 60"x24"x18" with ba just need ideas and questions answered 1) i was wondering can this equipment be used with freshwater fish, mainly the lights i'm wondering about? 2) should i move the fish i have in my 40g and up shoals, add new fish etc? or wait till i move out and see if i have room and money for both?? 3) if do move fish into new tank what should i add??? 4) ideas what to do with new tank if don't upgrade the 40g? www.blooming-brilliant.co.uk |

The equipment could be used for freshwater but they'd all need thorough cleaning as the bacteria from marine won't survive in freshwater. Personally I'd upgrade the 40g to this new tank for marines. I have a 5ft x 2ft x 2ft and a 4ft x 2ft x 15" in my living room. The contrast between the two looks great. |
