Okay, so I've got my tank up and cycling. When it is finished cycling, which fish should I add to the tank in what order (first, second, last...).
Here is my list of fish
6-8 hatchet fish
6-8 rummynose or other small tetra
3 zebra loaches
2 dojo loaches
4 angel fish
I hope my question makes sense. TIA
Jen

if you are doing a fishless cycle, you can add all at once (which is usually always better for tettitorial reasons)

What size tank do you have? Knowing that would help a lot in suggestion stocking information.

Not knowing that, I'd add the rummies and hatchetfish first (since they don't stake out territories and become hostile to newcomers), then the loaches, and finally, the angelfish. The order really doesn't matter, though the angels should be added last. The reason for this is so that the tetras have had time to grow, and don't look so much like a snack to the angelfish. Also, juvenile angelfish are more tolerant of smaller tetras, and less likely to gobble them up! Usually angels don't eat rummies, but it is better not to take chances.

It is a 55 gallon. I was planning on getting small angels. Do you think rummynose are not a good choice?

Rummies should be fine. They can be delicate though, and care must be taken while acclimating these fish. They are tougher once they've been in a tank for a while, which is another reason for adding them first.

However, I think you should remove the dojo loaches. They get to be a foot long, and you don't have room enough for a group of them. Add a couple more zebra loaches instead, they'll thank you.

I have to keep the dojos...I already have them. What if I get rid of two of the angels and get another dojo?
