Slate, shale, holey rock as mentioned above, limestone and such will work just fine. Gather some nice pieces, clean/sanitize them, snag some of your favourite clear aquarim silicone and get creative! You can also get PVC pipe that hasn't had any sealants on it, coat the outside in silicone and roll it in gravel. |

But, all joking aside, I made most of my caves by siliconing rocks together. When I went to the landscaping place, the owner gave me a whole bucket of broken rocks for free -- like he said, its not like he can sell them to anybody. |

Landscaping places are the cheapest by far, I got all the rocks I need for my 75g for like 20. |
