Can someone please tell me what the white deposits are stuck on the inside of my tank? I thought it might be algae but it has a white parasite...ness to it. I am treating for ich but today was going to be my last dose(5 th day to b sure its gone). Could it b ICH? My tank is 72 gal and about one month old. I just change 50% of the water this morning and it started this "deposit". Anyone have any idea?

its probably some type of microorganism. I have these growing in my tanks. They look sort of like teeny tiny anemones and wave in the flow of water. Very tiny. I just scrub them off the glass with an algae sponge, and leave the ones on the plants. They dont seem to do any harm, but just make the glass seem "cloudy"

If it's on the outside of things such as your filter & canopy then it's probably hard water stains, which are calcium deposits I think.

If it's only under water, well, I don't know what it is but I've had it before back when my tank was only 1 - 2 months running. I just kept wiping it off the glass. Then the glass started being covered in algae, now my otto keeps everything sparkling clean.

I don't think it's anything to worry about.

Could be barnacles!!! Just kidding. I haven't had a problem like that yet. It was recommended to me to clean the glass of my tank every week. I clean the tank right before water changes. However, some fish need the algae on the glass to survive, so be careful.
