My 30g has an angel, krib pair, guppies, black phantoms and bottom feeders. No new additions for quite a while. Today I noticed my male guppies tails are almost half missing Who is the guilty fish and why would this start happening suddenly?

Are the kribs breeding?

Possibly the Kribs or Angel.

Yeah, kribs especially if they are breeding. If not, it may have been the angel.

I've seen some angels destroy some Black widow Tetras' fins before, so I'd assume that the angels are the guilty party...

I also think that the Kribs or the Angels are the guilty ones.

How many tetras do you have? If you have less than five, I might suspect them... Otherwise I'd go with the kribs too.

Definately the cichlids. I'd suggest angels first as the kribs will generally chase other fish if they're breeding, but seldom harass them if they swim to the upper layers... Angels aren't so 'fussy' about where they harass fish.
