I just love them they are just so cute and have such sweet inquisitive faces not to mention the way they keep the bottom of the tank all nice and clean. They are a very good cleaning up team.

Cories are great!!!!
They're peaceful, do a great job of getting rid of any excess food from all those little nooks and crannies and SOOOO much fun to watch
Once you keep these little guys you're hooked

i like them, but i like other bottom feeders better in most circumstances. It depnds i guess, i'm not head over heels for the little guys, but i do see the appeal.

I love their personality, their willingness to clean up the tank, and their looks. I mean, the mouths and dorsal fins are just too cool.) And I'm not just saying that.

They're cute, peaceful, active, and interesting to watch. They come in a variety of colors, sizes, and a bigger variety to patterns. Good clean-up crew.

They really aren't my favorite bottom feeders though. I have a nice-sized school of trilineatus in one tank, pygmy cories in another...they look like an oto/cory cross. I have a few BNs which I find facinating. But personally I really, really like loaches

They're fun, active, cute, and helpful...some of the more common ones like bronzes are hardy and will work in a wide range of tank conditions. They get up to all types of antics like sleeping in the plants and burrying their heads in the sand.

There are a lot of reasons why Cories rules!!! :
** They clean your tank
** There are a lot of type of cories, (Pandas are my favourites)
** They are peaceful, never mess with anyone
** they fill with happines the bottom of your tank
** Not hard to breed
** It's a lot fun to watch them

I have a little story. Once in a 30g I had about 8 bronze cories, I used to see some breeding behavior after every water change, I used to do the water changes at night ans usually I saw thwm spawning next morning.

That tank was filtered by an UGF and then I changed for an AC. By the time I remove the UGF suddenly I see a baby cory, a baby but not too small about 1/2 inch long, I suposed that this little one was living under the UGF in the space left between the UGF and the tank I couldn't believe it, maybe the egg found his way down the UGF and He stayed there for a while....

Good lord Hector I am amazed it survived. It must of got quite a shock when you took the UGF out to realise there was another whole world out there. Bless its little heart. What a lovely story.

To put it bluntly, they are complete freaks, and I mean that in the best way possible.

hmmm I like them and I think they are cool to watch, but i have 6 now that are ALWAYS hiding, i never see them! they're always sleeping in the plants! I am thinking of trading them in for trios of yo-yo loaches and otos...

edit: in fact i think i will start a thread on that and get some opinions...
