I'm afraid to turn out the light over my male betta for fear he will not see them falling. any comments?

some males will take care of them without the light. it is all a test to see which one of the fry is strong.

Can you see in total darkness
Its best to leave a small night light on for him. If you have a good strong spawn then not many will fall, but if u have a weak spawn he may be kept busy all thru the night.

No I can't see in the dark...but thanks for asking....although I did think there were some animals who could see in the dark, or at least had better vision than humans at night. Thanks to everyone that replied nicely.
