This would be my first salt tank, but i am very experienced with tank-keeping and i have a decent knowledge of marine. I would do water changes twice a week and im not worried about not having the time a small tank requires. With that said, how does this stocking sound: 1 red-fire shrimp 2 scarlet reef hermits 2 turbo snails 1 yellow watchman 1 spotted mandarin and of course some live-rock. Does that stocking sound ok? Any input or suggestions? [span class="edited"][Edited by lunker101 2004-08-17 11:21][/span] |

Their diet consists of amphipods, and copepods that are found on the live rock. Unless you have alot of live rock, and a safe place for them to breed, the mandarin will wipe the pod population out and will slowly starve. |

You can even add more inverts if you choose, such as other hermits and more snails. They add virtually nothing to the bio load of the tank, there really just has to be enough food for all of them to eat. Same places suggest as many as 1 hermit per gallon. |

Now im thinking of a few inverts, maybe a percula and maybe 2small species of goby. If the tank is well mantained (which it will be), i believe that would be fine, correct? |
