If there's sufficient lighting, go for a reef tank. A nice tall stack of LR in the center and veiwable 360, or at least from 3 sides, would be very cool. Alex Fish Addict 510 Posts: 721 Registered: 03-Oct-2004 | came with 4x T12s not the greatest lights ever... im thinking ill pick up a good quality 10000k 400watt Halide possibly from the states and just use the T12s as Antics stilll for the price i cant complain going to try and run the sump mainly as a Refugium and have all my main equipment outside the cabinet not 100% sure on how im going to do this discretely might modify the cabinet abit to accomodate my filtration needs this tank is either going to have SPS in the long run |

I gotta say the sump doesn't really seem large enough to set it up many ways. Looks like there's room for a return pump and skimmer and maybe some macroalgae in the first chamber area. I'd just get those bioballs out and do what you can. Critical Fertilator: The Micromanager of Macronutrients |

Alex Fish Addict 510 Posts: 721 Registered: 03-Oct-2004 | i think the system is about 75gal going to split the sump up tomorrow giving me 5 separate sections. sections 1 filter floss and bio balls or maybe some other cheap/free filter media i can find 2 some kind of biological filtration that wont require light... 3 fuge and dsb this chamber will also contain the heater and the pipes from the skimmer and the like. 4 some kind of biological filtration that may only need the tiniest amount of light to survive 5 return pump RIO 12HF decided im going to upgrade after seeing a RIO at decent head height lol thinking i may run an old/very cheap canister off the fuge running activated carbon zeovit and some sponges that will apparently lower phosphate *has a thing for killing phosphate* NOTE TO ALL SW HOBBYISTS: aqua one carbon both advance and standard leach phosphate into the water!!! |
