alright i jsut emptyed my 30 gallon of freshwater and gravel, i still have to getm ost of the things

substrate- which one looks better

The aragmax appears samller grians and sais for shallow beds- would this get sucks up by the powerheads

I would get the pink reef sand becuase of good reviews but it only come in a 15lb bag

this seems to look the best but seems to have least buffering capacity

also can i use 20lbs of limstoen as a base, ill be settign up tank slowly so how long owuld it take to look like the live rock ex algae and color, what does porus mean, ill tyr to take soem pics of the rock

I just set up my own 29 gallon. It's really what YOU think looks good! I've used Carib Sea Aragamax Sand. I am happy with it but it's really just what you think. I know at my lfs they have tanks setup with different substrates so you can see what they look like.
