Well the 29g had been only running for a month or so, but was cycled. So I did what I said I would not do, push the button. I did a complete switchover. 15lbs crushed coral, and 10lbs live sand, skilter 400 from 29. Added 30lbs live sand.Added 25lbs live rock from 29, added 12 more. Put on Magnum 350 with crushed coral(seeded) in magnum.BTW never lost any starter fish from 29(Damsels), and all are returned to LFS.Well here is the stock NOW. Started with 1 Dwarf Lion zebra(I got for $12US at LFS) in the 29. The wife brought home a Snowflake eel this Sat. Also has 5 Turbo Snails and 3 BB snails. This will be final fish stock unless 1 Valentini Puffer is added. Got a descent light coming(130W compact). Tank is fairly tall(18"-20". Questions= 1, types of corals I could safely add with these fish 2, media to use in basket of Magnum(after seeded substrate is removed) 3, types of algea eaters and sand sifters recommended(if any above current snails) . I am doing mega research, but looking for pesonal suggestions. I'm just happy to have no fish loss in first 1.5 months of Darkside, which I cannot say about my 1st FW. Thanks for some info, and yes I will get a better skimmer in near future. Oh BTW footprint is around 3.5-4 square foot, hard to get exact with the unreadable tape measures I have at home. |
