Bad idea I know, but i can't go back and change that... From the looks of it its Brown Algae and its the most anoying thing to try to get rid of, i'd rather not use Chems so if anyone has natural advice ill take it! Thanks in advance >>>----> <----<<< pnh |

High nitrates calls for water changes, PO4 can be removed with media etc. Otherwise all I can suggest with the information you gave me is to start doing regular maintenance again. Water changes with pure water, clean out mechanical filters more regularly etc. Mostly just get some more water changes done with RO or DI water. Did I say that enough? O yeah i wanted to point out I am running a sump with protein skimmer. For some reason when i do not run the sump the algae lessens for some reason Im not sure if anyone can explain that or not. And one other thing, I know manually pulling out the algae makes the tan look better but will it lessen the severity of algae in my tank? >>>----> <----<<< pnh |

This will remove alot of it while you figure out what is fueling the stuff.Make sure you read that article I gave you earlier. What type water are you using for PWC`s and top offs. You might want to check that water out to make sure you are not adding excessive nutrients (nitrates and phosphates). |
