I'm looking for input from people who have actually owned them or have had personal friends who have owned them. I want to get one however I know their main diet is sea sponges. So if you have one how long have you had the angel and what do you feed? Also your tank size and tankmates would be appreciated.

My buddy owns a small adult queen and I own a small adult blue which is almost like a queen. I'm sure the eating habits are the same. Mine loves minced clams that you can buy in a can. I mean he will wait up at the top of the tank when he sees me w/ his face sticking out of the water. I also feed him Formula One pellets for his nutrition. Has like spirulina garlic and all that good stuff in it. Then I also feed him sheets of seaweed. I just buy a pack of the sushi sheets and it lasts forever.

They're pretty bold angelfish in my opinion. And you definately don't want any other large angels in w/ them. They'll kill it. You'll also need a good size tank at least 150-180 gal. minimum i would say. I currently have my blue in a 125 but i'm in the stages for a 200 gal.

Good luck , you won't be disappointed w/ the Queen it's a beautiful fish w/ lots of personality.

I forget the company now, but there is an angelfish food formula, I don't know how much it contains, but sponges is on the ingredient list on the back. May be worth looking into.

I think it's Hikari's Mega Marine Angel. It's nice stuff.

I would set-up a fuge and culture some sponges to compliment it's diet. They grow like crazy, and to propgate them, you just tear a peice off and moveit somewhere else.

Pics will be required if you decide to get one!
