Are they as hardy as the others? I didn't know there were so many different kinds of clownfish, and I'm liking more than usual orange and white ones.

it won's be much difference in the way of keeping other types of clown fishes, I have a pair of pink skunk clowns as well as Maroon Clowns (different tanks of course) and they are both easy going fishes

Yes, there is more than one Skunk Clown. I believe you should look up the following taxonomic names: Amphiprion peridaerion and Amphiprion akallopsis. There may be others too!
