	Buying a used saltwater tank
inkodinkomalinko Fish Guru Posts: 2441 Kudos: 833 Registered: 18-Jan-2003	Hey, I was going to buy a 100 gallon acrylic tank that is used..it's a old saltwater tank and I was wondering if I could convert it to FW. I asked some people in the chat and they told me it would be okay, so I was just trying to make sure it is. The tank is pretty cheap, $150 for stand w/ canopy so I think it's worth it. Just need to know some precautions and such. Theres no silicone in it, if it matters. Thanks a bunch.

Anything that would have been harmful in a SW tank, at least parasite/bacteria wise will not be a problem in FW tank. Just clean it so it looks nice and new.
