I know you're not attacking, first of all Sham.

I just thought I would respond while I have a couple of minutes. Really this probably was caused by my stupidity for not leaving more time before work. I guess I learned my lesson though. Too bad it cost the lives of a few and

On a normal basis I always have the water that I put in my tank go through my PUR 3-stage water filter. Unfortunately, that takes some time because it's just a faucet mounted filter and it doesn't have great output. So, I cheated that day and got burned.

Once again I want to thank everyone! I know I learned my lesson. I just hope that I helped others not make the same mistake

Sorry if I said anything you took as an attack. That really wasn't my intention.

Even ro units don't put out water fast. It takes time to filter water. It's a good idea to keep water on hand in storage and in most cases better to skip a water change than try to do one right now. Most of the time I have 12gallons sitting in my mixing container and another 9 gallons in plastic refill containers. If I need water now I usually run to hyvee about 2 blocks away and use their water refill machines for $.25/gallon. It's not perfect water(tests some phosphates) but it's purer than a tapwater filter and their machines fill probably 1000times faster than the $100 ro system I bought off ebay. It takes 10mins instead of several hours to get 12gallons of water.

I know you didn't attack me! I didn't want you to think I was getting defensive!
