But any how, yes you can keep them in a non reef tank. Many of them have been known to much on some corals. Also, if you do not feed them well, they may eat your fish while they are sleeping. I used to have one a long time ago, a Tiger Cowrie. I actually caught it myself. Really cool snail. Oh, and just for kicks. Did you know that way back before the Roman times, the cowrie shells where what was used a money. Kinda need huh. There is always a bigger fish... |

Well this guy must have been a high dollar amount as it is about 4" long and about 3"in diameter.The shell is shiny dark brown and the sides have a translucent dark purple quality.I did talk my self out of it as I want to turn this tank into a reef before the year is out. What to do with those choc. chip star fish?... what to do?....second tank....would that be OK honey? |
