I just got a Falco Hawkfish who is in a tank with a Coral Beauty and some crappy damsel I put in the tank first for a test run. Anyway... are the freshwater ghost shrimp a good choice of live food for the hawk? What else could i do for live food for him?

FW ghost shrimp would work well, as would any other meaty food that you put in the tank. IMO, dont start feeding him live foods all the time because he will then expect it and not eat prepared foods. I dont think I have ever seen a hawkfish that isnt a pig and wont eat pretty much anything that you put in the tank......no need for feeding live foods IMO.

Yeah, agreed. Meaty sinking pellets and tablets work well, as do most frozen foods. The foods don't necessarily even need to sink; they'll go for pretty much anything edible that they see enter a tank.
One reason that hawkfish tend to be easy to keep is precisely because they're so easy to feed in captivity. They aren't usually picky, so you can choose their foods at your leisure.
