Ok, my 46 is currently clearing up. I have no idea on what fish I want for my tank. I have a Potter's Angel, Royal Gramma, and a Red Banded Goby. The fish MUST be reef safe (yes I know I took a risk on the angel). I would like something that stands out well and has a good size to it. I like Butterflys and Tangs, but they get too big and can sometimes not be reef safe. SOOOOO........ ideas?

I'm thinking hawkfish. In this case you have several possible choices- the flame, longnose, and any peaceful Cirrhitichthys species are all candidates. Really the only thing I'd be worried about in that tank is the goby, though if it is adult size and you add a smaller hawk, it likely won't be eaten. To advance their case, hawkfish are very helpful in policing those annoying shrimp and hermit crabs that sometimes pop up in marine tanks. No worries there.

Get a wrasse. That way I can ask you how yourwrasse is doing. . But seriously, flasher wrasses, fairy wrasses, and the six and twelve line wrasses are all really sweet reef fish. I just got a flasher wrasse last night that was on hold at my lfs for a week. I can't wait to post some pictures later today when the lights come on. This fish is gorgeous. Plus it eats everything(flake, mysis, brine, formula 1&2) and is pretty social - not skittish.
