The worker at the store said it was the best looking Fuzzy Dwarf Lionfish he has seen for a year and that the store has had the fish for a month. He showed me the fish was eating by throwing in two feeder guppies which the fish ate within 10 seconds. He said the fish is also eating Frozen Mysis and Brine Shrimp. I really like the fish, but I'm not sure that he'd be compatible with my Cinnamon Clownfish and Coral Beauty Angelfish in my 70 gal. FOWLR tank. Should I get the fish? |

Even though its a dwarf lion, the still get to a fairly large size, around 8". It would defentinally fit in your tank, but it may eat the Clownfish. Also, I wouldn't believe it at frozen food unless I saw it in my own eyes. Them feeding it FW feeders by itself would make me not want to buy the fish. FW feeders can damage their internal organs. |

I have a book by Gordon Kay which says Dendrochirus brachypterus gets a max. of 7" in the wild and 4" in the aquarium. The dealer at the store, aslo, said that they get at most 4". Have you had a Fuzzy Dwarf Lionfish grow that size? |

They will try to eat fish bigger than them, I've heard or stories of them trying to eat a fish too large, and both of them dying. You probably won't have a problem, but if the Clownfish of CB dissapears, you can be pretty sure the Lionfish ate it. By nature thats what they do. |

He is slowly swimming around the tank to get a look at his new home. He often goes to the bottom and follows his reflection while displaying his fins and dorsal spines. I hope he will eat some garlic soaked Mysid Shrimp tomorrow. If he doesn't in about 2-3 days, I plan on buying some Ghost Shrimp(I heard it was good for them and they rarely refuse them.) I'll keep you updated. P.S.--lil_mikey69, do you have a email address or aim screen name. If you do, please email me(greg12900@aol.com). You are very helpful to me when I need it! |

I really wasn't sure how much to give him, and I'm not sure how often I should feed him(weekly). I plan on buying him some Frozen Krill, whenever I can. Does anybody know much and how often I should feed Fozzy? |
