In your opinion, which is the hardiest tang? This is the one fish that everyone seems to have a mixed opinion on. Thanks.

I've read good things about the Kole tang. They are (according to TFH) one of the hardiest tangs, and great algae eaters, as well.

And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."

Kole Tangs are a good choice. They also do well in smaller tanks.

And by smaller, I mean like 55-75 gallons.

Very funny that both replies have been the same tang that just died on me. However, it was an internal problem with the fish. Something like it had an internal blockage. So, my fears of tangs have overcome me and I ended up trading in the dead fish for an Ebili angelfish. Maybe some other day for the tang.

tangs are generally not "too" demanding, at least this is right compare to Large Angels such as the Emperator and Majestic...but of course there are exceptions such as Clown tangs and Achilles tangs

I think the Yellow tangs are one of the least demanding tangs, and the purple tang except a bit more aggressive

Agree with weekend.....Kole tangs IMO and experience are one of the more difficult tangs to keep healthy(or even find healthy in the store). Another tang that is hardy is the sailfin tang, but plan on a big tank as this boy gets 15 inches.
